TASTE OF HOPE
A wine and spirits tasting event
OVERVIEW
Taste of Hope is a wine and spirits tasting event. They needed event collateral created using the theme.
The look and feel requires to give the event a refresh being that the event has not happened in 2 years. They wanted to excite their attendees. The event is familiar, but the goal is to ignite excitement.
PROCESS
In this project, I wanted to give a fun and cheerful feeling by using pop art and 90s disco styles. I imagined people having a good time and happily toasting glasses.

CREATIVE PROCESS
I drew an illustration of various people gathering by showing just hands holding glasses to make a toast. I chose a bottom-up view perspective to convey an upward and boosting feeling and added small graphics such as musical notes and stars to represent liveliness and excitement.
In addition, various bright colors are used to create a joyful atmosphere, but numbers of primary colors are limited so that it does not look too busy. I also added a dark stroke to the illustration to demonstrate the pop art look. For the type choices, I opted for a retro and bold font in line with the 90s style, and chose italics to give dynamism. Since the header typeface has a strong personality, I chose a clean sans-serif typeface as the body font to create a modern feel and provide good legibility.
